Student Life

Our DRB graduate students are actively engaged in helping to shape our degree program and community. Our student leadership team not only organizes our fantastic annual retreat program, but designed the informal and formal speaking platforms that allow our trainees to practice sharing their ideas, ask questions and communicate the goals and progress of their ongoing research. Over social events and networking opportunities, our trainees get to know one another, as well as our Program faculty, to foster collaborative relationships and additional support for the challenges of graduate school. New DRB members are always warmly welcomed, and our DRB graduate student successes at Harvard and beyond are enthusiastically celebrated by the whole DRB community.

Successful Meet-the-DRB to Kickoff the Academic Year

August 29, 2019
We had a great Meet-the-DRB to start the 2019-2020 academic calendar year. The event started with talks by Trista North, Andrew Lasar, and Bess Miller describing the DRB program and an introduction to our new Curriculum Fellow Mara Laslo. Then, an hour of lightning talks covered topics from characterization of the human segmentation clock to epigenetics of intestinal development. This was followed by an outdoor poster session and BBQ. We lucked out with great weather and good times!
